Kevin Harvick (No. 29 Richard Childress Racing Budweiser Chevrolet SS) won the Advocare 500 at Phoenix International Speedway in Avondale, Arizona, on Sunday, after Carl Edwards (No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing Fastenal Ford Fusion) ran out of fuel with a lap to go. Hendrick Motorsports teammates Kasey Kahne (No. 5 Farmers Insurance Chevrolet SS), Jimmie Johnson (No. 48 Lowe's/Kobalt Tools Chevrolet SS) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet SS) finished second, third and fourth. Harvick is now third in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings.

With Jimmie Johnson's third-place run at Phoenix, he now leads Matt Kenseth (No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Dollar General Toyota Camry) by 28 points heading to Miami-Homestead Speedway for the NASCAR season finale. Johnson can clinch the title with a finish of 23rd or better, 24th if he leads one lap and 25th if he leads the most laps. Kenseth finished 23rd in Phoenix with handling problems. Kyle Busch (No. 54 J.D. Gibbs Racing Monster Energy Toyota) dominated the ServiceMaster 200 at Phoenix on Saturday. Busch led 169 laps in capturing his 12th NASCAR Nationwide Series victory in 25 starts this season. Busch extended his series record for wins in the series to 63. Busch also won the pole for the race, his 10th of the season. When Busch has started on pole for a Nationwide race this season, he has won nine times.
