Ford has taken the wrap off of its all-new 2018 Expedition calling it "The smartest, most capable and most adaptable Expedition ever." Ford says that the new Expedition has more driver-assist technology than any other full-size SUV (if that floats your boat). Leaning heavily on lessons learned with its aluminum-bodied F-150 pickup, the new Expedition features
an all-new high-strength, aluminum-alloy body and redesigned high-strength steel frame. Ford says that it has saved "up to" 300 pounds on the new model. The Expedition is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 with standard Auto Start-Stop plus a class-exclusive new 10-speed automatic transmission. An electronic limited-slip differential is newly available on models with Intelligent 4WD. Designed to look like a giant Explorer, the all-new Expedition will be available in XLT, Limited and Platinum series when it arrives in dealers next fall.

(Hyundai)
Hyundai has introduced the all-new 2018 Elantra GT hatchback at the Chicago Auto Show. Highlights? It's longer, lower, wider and comes in
two models, the GT or GT Sport. The direct injection 2.0-liter in the GT has 162HP, and you can get it with either a six-speed manual or automatic. The 1.6-liter turbo in the Elantra GT Sport has 201HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque. It's available with the six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch gear box.
