Hyundai. Albert Biermann, a former BMW executive specializing in performance vehicles, has been appointed by Hyundai as its first foreign chief of research and development. Biermann has already been in place for a while and he's the reason that the dynamic improvements on Hyundai Group vehicles have been coming at a rapid rate. This move means that Hyundai is finally taking the dynamic performance of its vehicles seriously, and we expect nothing but good things from Hyundai Group vehicles going forward.

The Macan is Porsche's best-selling model by far, and for 2019 the new Macan S features a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine with 348HP (260kW) and 354 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque. This new V6 is also shared with the Panamera, Cayenne and Cayenne E-Hybrid models, and it is equipped with a single twin-scroll turbocharger located centrally in the inner-V of the engine. This layout shortens the exhaust paths from the combustion chambers to the turbocharger, improving responsiveness as compared to the previous powertrain. The new engine features an increase in both horsepower and torque over the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 Porsche used in preceding versions of the Macan S. How quick? Zero to 60 mph is achieved in 5.1 seconds (or 4.9 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package). Top track speed is 157 mph. How much? The new 2019 Macan S has a base MSRP of $58,600 plus $1,050 for delivery, processing and handling fee. That means you'll have to fork over well into the upper $60,000 range to get one. And remember, the Macan is the "affordable" Porsche. The new Macan S will reach U.S. dealers next summer.

Echoing the original car’s color scheme, with red paintwork, a silver roof and silver wheels, plus tartan upholstery, the car carries Clark’s signature on each rear buttress and includes a discreet interior plaque confirming its 100,000th build status. The winner of the competition will be announced at the opening of the new Jim Clark Museum. The new, expanded Jim Clark Museum will preserve the memory of one of the sports most revered racers and display some of the incredible cars that Clark competed in.
