Hot on the heals of the Chevrolet Colorado reveal, GM has introduced the GMC version of its alleged "midsize" pickup truck: the 2015 Canyon. This just in: there is nothing "midsize" about these trucks, they're just not as big as the giant trucks that pass for standard pickups today. It will have an estimated 193 horsepower (146 kW) from a standard 2.5L 4-cylinder and an estimated 302 horsepower (224 kW) from an available 3.6L V6, according to GM. The payload capacity is at least 1,450 pounds (657 kg). GM says that the Canyon "is expected to deliver class-leading capabilities with the brand’s signature refinement – all in an efficiently sized, maneuverable package for customers who want the cargo-hauling and trailering versatility of a truck without the size of a full-size pickup." Yes, of course it will.
